Fey Folk The Abbey Lubber 3-inch resin figure by Weston Brownlee Available Now
Haunting the kitchens and wine cellars of particularly flush Monasteries and Abbeys, the Abbey Lubber was fond of tormenting monks, friars, priests and the like -tempting them to give in to gluttony, drunkenness, and even lascivious impulses. But were these faeries really set on doing the devil's work, or were they just fun-loving fiends who felt like a bunch of overly serious men obsessed with outward piety needed to lighten up?
Fey Folk is Weston's interpretation of classic European creatures from folklore and mythology. All are hand-painted, cast resin. The Abbey Lubber measures 3" tall and is made from cast resin and acrylic. Edition of 50.
Weston Brownlee has exhibited at Stranger Factory and Meow Wolf and is now diving into the handmade collectible scene.
