Tenacious Toys Brings Super Series Sundays Back from the Dead with Playful Gorilla’s Homage to an 8-Bit Horror Icon

On the spookiest weekend of the year, Benny Kline from Tenacious Toys will wave his magic wand over a bubbling cauldron of nostalgia as he revives his old haunt: Super Series Sundays!

A regular schedule of new and exclusive toy drops, Super Series Sundays once brought joy and glee to toy collectors worldwide.

Supporting creators like Task One, Kyle Kirwan, Forces of Dorkness, Evilos and Nerviswr3k, the Super Series Sundays drops shined a much needed light on the creations of working toy artists. Sadly, in 2016, the 3 year campaign died a sudden and unexplained death.

But as we all know, nothing buried in the Internet Cemetery ever truly dies. And, as a web warlock, Tenacious CEO Benny Kline has set about conjuring up his special brew once again.

“I was inspired by the excitement over the Open to Interpretation custom show we ran at NYCC, and the truly breathtaking array of creativity I saw at CollectedCon the following weekend,” Kline said. “I realized a week after those shows wrapped that the toy creators in our space are as talented as ever, and as numerous as ever, and it must be my mission once again to continue shining a light on them as brightly as possible.”

And so the resurrection of a legend begins.

SUPER SERIES SUNDAYS RETURNS NOV 1 WITH LIL JAY VOORHEES

On Halloween weekend, the first icon to strike fear into the hearts of 80s kids has to be our favorite slasher, Lil Jay Voorhees! Crafted by Philadelphia artist Playful Gorilla, this second wave of his 2.5” blind boxed hockey masks are offered in a retro NES blue color way. Some rare variants will be blood spattered, and one out of 13 will be the chrome chases!

At an affordable $25 each, the Lil Jay Voorhees Mini Mask Blind Boxes will be offered for a 48-hour window which will open at 7pm EST on Sunday November 1. The window will slam shut on your fingers at 7pm EST on Nov 3rd.
